Welcome to paradise, there is no place quite like Bear Creek. Our Lakefront home is just 20 steps from the door into the lake. There are no homes on the other side of the Lake just views of nature and acres of woods that surround the lake. People have said that Bear Creek is the Poconos of 20 years ago and remains that way today. You may spot a Heron which has been known to call Bear Creek it`s home. The 150 acre Lake is Spring fed and if fishing is on your agenda, there are Bass, Perch, Pickerel, Catfish, & Sunnies just to mention a few. We supply a fishing Boat and Canoe with life vests and paddles. There are no motors of any kind permitted on this lake. There is also a Lakeside Fire Pit overlooking the lake as well as a Lakeside Picnic table. Our home sleeps 8 comfortably, and we offer spotless accommodations.
As you enter through the front door you will be met with captivating views of the lake through the picture window in the living room with a turn of the century fireplace. There is 1 of 3 bedrooms on the first floor with a King Size Bed and linens are supplied. There is also a full bath on the first floor as well. Enjoy Panoramic views of the Lake while preparing meals in our fully equipped kitchen. The Kitchen, Living Room and Dining area are opened so you can entertain your guests while preparing a meal while enjoying a wood burning fire. 50 inch TV in Living room. The kitchen is stocked with everything necessary to make a meal. There is also a Microwave, Wine Cooler, Toaster, Coffee maker,Coffee Bean grinder, Crock Pot, Can Opener, Pots & Pans, Dishes & Silverware, and spices and condiments as well. We also supply toilet tissue.
There is a 6 person Hot tub on the Deck overlooking the lake and it is always "Hot" upon your arrival. There is also a Lakeside Fire Pit where you can roast "Smores".
The second floor of the house has 2 more bedrooms. One bedroom has a King Size Bed and the other a Queen. There is also a Full Size Sleeper Sofa in the Family/Game room on the 2nd floor as well and a second full bath with ceramic tile and beautiful modern fixtures.
The Game Room is well equipped with a Pool Table, Air Hockey, Poker Table, Darts, Playstation I & II with games, DVD & VCR with movies. There is a 2nd TV in the Game Room as well and a you can get your work out in on the Treadmill while overlooking the lake as well.
Just 15 minutes from the house you can enjoy Skiing, Snowboarding, snow tubing at Sno Mtn, which was called Montage mountain before under new management. Go to~ www.snomtn.com for rates and dates of operation. Also, Jack Frost and Big Boulder are a short drive from the house as well. Hike the Lackawanna State Forest which is just a 5 min. bike ride from the house. Bring your Snowmobile, in Winter there are many snowmobile trails as well.
There are many Restaurants close by. Enjoy Pizza at Cosenza`s just 5 min. from the house also there is a Custard Stand across the street from the Pizzeria. Dine at The Bear Creek Inn which is just 5 miles down the road on Rt. 115. Also, Sunday Brunch at the Bear Creek Cafe. Wilkes Barre is just a 15 min. drive and there are many restaurants to enjoy such as Pazzo, The Tyme Restaurant at the Woodlands, T.G.I.Fridays, The Olive Garden, Chinese Buffet, Smokin Bones Steakhouse, Ground Round, Cracker Barrel and many more.
Local Supermarkets~ Ahart`s Market on Rt. 115 and 940, Wegman`s Specialty Supermarket in Wilkes Barre, & Redners in Pittston.
Other activities close to the house~ Paintball, 18 Hole and Miniature Golf, Camelbeach Water Park, The Shoppes at Montage, Biking, & Hiking, Sno Cove Water Park, Movie Theaters, The Crossing`s Shopping Outlets, & Horseback Riding Stables.
