Only 2 hrs from the GWB you could relax in the tranquility of a magnificent, rural hamlet dominated by rivers, streams and breathtaking views (hike to the Red Hill Fire Tower for some of the best), with plenty of room indoors for the family. The lodge has 3 bedrooms (master bedroom en suite) and a pull out sofa in the Great Room (sleeps 8 in total), so it`s great for a group of friends. There is satellite, shown on a large screen TV so you won`t miss the big game, a ping pong table downstairs, peaceful walks right outside the front door, and a bonfire pit to sit by under the stars. Just up the road is our local Country Store, where you can be sure of decent coffee, a good sandwich and the Sunday paper.
And if you`re the active type, check out the Frost Valley YMCA for a wide variety of outdoor pursuits available (snow tubing, cross country skiing, hiking, indoor wall climbing, etc.), and 40 mins away is skiing at Belleayre. For those looking for something a bit more relaxing, the renowned New Age Health Spa is just minutes "down the hill".
There is a bright new lounge area, separate from the great room, which opens to the renovated kitchen, with granite countertops, and dining area. House has WiFi.
