Renovated 1800`s Farmhouse with KILLER views overlooking Lake Algonquin and Dunham Mountain beyond. Sleeps 4 maximum in 2 queen beds, great for two couples.
All the comforts of a new and modern home in a serene lakeside setting inside a classic old farmhouse. Furnished with a mix of antique furnishings and gorgeous 100 yr old reclaimed wood floors throughout. We have 2 bedrooms, 3 baths, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, high speed internet, local and long distance phone, full kitchen and dishwasher.
The downstairs has been opened up so the kitchen, family and dining area all share one open floor plan - with great views of the lake. Separate living area with large sectional sofa and TV for movie viewing. No cable though, we come here to get away from the news!
Upstairs is the master bedroom with queen bed, cathedral ceilings and a private bath with extra deep soaking tub (great after a long hike or day of skiing). Amazing views of the lake and mountains. The guest bedroom also has a queen bed, and has use of a 1/2 bath in hallway. Another full bath is downstairs.
We are across the street from the lake. You can swim out front but there is no beach. There is a public fishing dock. We have a lakeside fire pit and large picnic table, Weber grill, 2 kayaks for your use in warm weather, snowshoes in winter.
This is NOT your typical rental house - plenty of love, attention and resources have gone into this renovation. We are sharing with our guests what we so enjoy on our holidays here - high end mattresses, nice linens, dishes, top notch grill, our kayaks - all of it very nice stuff. So we are looking for responsible, considerate guests who appreciate this and will pay attention to some of the nuances....such as our beautiful wood counters in the kitchen will stain permanently if you get red wine on them - so please don`t - that sort of thing.
Spring/Fall/Winter: $575 3 day weekend. $1000 week.
Summer: $1200 week.
$80 cleaning fee. Tax included.
This is a non - smoking, no pet household.
