This beautiful historic home was built in 1847. It is on the edge of Elizabethtown on the Boquet River, conveniently located within walking distance of the supermarket, drug store, hardware store, Stewart’s convenience store/gas station, golf course, and the exquisite dining at the Deer Head Inn. Elizabethtown is in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks with Hurricane and Giant Mountains to the west, the town of Westport on Lake Champlain 15 minutes drive to the east, and the resort town of Lake Placid 35 minutes drive to the northwest. Meadowmount is only 8 minutes away, making this home a convenient and comfortable place to stay for families visiting students and attending recitals at the prestigious summer music school.
Rental rate for the 2 bedroom apartment: $500/wk or $350/wk in Sept/Oct 2008 and April/May 2009; $600/wk or $450/wkend in June/July/Aug 2009. Discounted rates are offered for seasonal or extended stays. 4 more bdrms, 2 more baths, another living rm, and another kitchen are on the other side of the house. If you need more space, talk to us!

Walk-in pantry with cupboards and shelves.
Living room with leather sofa and lounge chair, desk, 26” flat screen high definition TV, high def DVD player, and am/fm radio with iPod dock.
CableTV and high speed internet service with Wi-fi and Ethernet CAT 5 line are active.
Land line telephone service is not provided or needed; excellent cell phone service is present in the home and around Elizabethtown with the new cell tower in the town hall steeple.
Garage/Attic/Basement/Yard/Tennis and basketball courts are nearby.
There is no central air conditioning, but it is rare to need it in the Adirondacks. Open windows and fans (provided) usually suffice. A window unit air conditioner is available if needed.
