Follow a private, 700-foot drive through hemlock and pine, maple, and birch. Situated in a woodland clearing and perched at the base of Overlook Mountain, our 1920`s Craftsman-style house blends rustic charm with modern convenience. The house features native oak wideboard floors and pine rough-cut walls. The sky-lit kitchen is fully equipped and great to cook in -- a big red island counter is the place where everyone hangs out. The adjacent dining room table accommodates large holiday meals (we`ve seated up to 12). Three comfy bedrooms (two with double beds, one with single) are decorated with original wallpaper and offer dreamy treetop views. Deer and birds (nuthatch, junco, cardinals, and bluejays) make their homes in the low-bush blueberry and Mountain Laurel outside our door, all year round. A path circles our property -- a perfect nature walk for kids -- leads to a moss-carpeted forest overlooking a stream, and onward to a bluestone quarry where porcupine, fox, and rabbits make their homes.

Plus utilities
Cabin also available after Labor Day. Please ask about our winter/fall rates for both dwellings.
Please add $100 to weekly rentals for housecleaning.
