Situated at the base of Whiteface Mountain, in the Hi Peaks area of the Adirondacks, Little Loj rests on a grassy acre with shade bearing pine trees. There is an outdoor stone fireplace, picnic table and barbeque pit. A great area for just sitting and watching the world go by.

This area is famed for world class trout fishing, the Whiteface Ski Center and Mountain Bike Center as well as hiking, boating, climbing, fishing, golf and horseback riding. The Ironman Triathlon is held every July. The Little Loj is the closest private rental home to Whiteface Ski area and offers wonderful dining experiences within walking distance of the Loj.

Little Loj has two televisions, both with expanded cable service, a washing machine and dryer, microwave, CD stereo system, VCR, reading material and games for adults and kids, complete linens, kitchen service.

Activities and Attractions

Lake Placid is both a top winter and summer destination. It is an international community unique in it`s diverse activities. Some primary activities are the extensive hiking trails, several golf courses, superb trout fishing, downhill and cross country skiing, numerous large lakes for boating, canoeing and kayaking, bobsledding, ice skating, tobogganing and sledding, national and international athletic competitions, the Center for the Performing Arts, free summer concerts by the lake, special events like The Ironman North America, The Native American festival, The Scottish Highland Festival, Oktoberfest, several A-rated horseshows, well maintained public beaches, rock climbing, mountain biking, a 1950`s vintage movie house with first run movies, dozens of fine restaurants, dozens of specialty shops, and a scenic railroad. Horseback riding, guided trout fishing trips and whitewater rafting trips are also available.

Rates

During February, March, April, May, June, September, October and November, Little Loj rents for $950.00 USD for the week and $150.00 USD per night with a 3 night minimum.
During July, August, December and January, Little Loj rents for $1100.00 USD for the week and $175.00 USD per night with a 4 night minimum.
Little Loj rents for a minimum of a week during the Ironman Competition (July), Christmas and New Year`s for $1300.00 USD.
There is an standard security deposit of $200.00 which is returned to you after your departure, minus a $75.00 cleaning fee, assuming the cabin is left in good standing.
Rentals longer than one week are subject to negotiation.

Pet policy : The only pets considered are mature dogs. If permission is given there is an additional pet security deposit and a surcharge of $15.00 USD per day with a maximum of $75.00 USD. Sorry, no cats.
