Rented privately for your stay...... Our Catskill Cottage is located in a lovely mountain valley in the heart of New York State`s Catskill Mountains, at 1400 feet of elevation. The property is situated on 1 acre of land in the center of the "Forever Wild" Catskill Park. It is located near Balsam Mountain, “which is one of the highest peaks in The Catskill Range”, and Slide Mountain, the highest peak in The Catskills.

This Cottage has two floors. The upstairs has 2 cozy individual bedrooms and a loft, with TV/DVD/VCR, that sleeps four comfortably. Downstairs, there`s a wood burning stove, television/VCR (no cable TV), a living room, fully equipt kitchen with washer/dryer, dining area and full bath. Complete with linens, towels, cooking utensils and firewood in the winter. Hardwood floors throughout. Ceiling Fans and Air Conditioning equipped. It also has a spacious screened in porch to view the surrounding nature while relaxing to the sounds of the Esopus Creek.

Summer Fun: With the Esopus Creek adjacent to the property and famous for trout fishing runs you can enjoy some of the best fly fishing in New York. State marked hiking trails and mountain biking trails are a few minutes away and there are antique shops down the road. Enjoy a sky ride and an interactive nature center visit at Belleayre Mountain then spend the rest of the day at the beach front lake. Or maybe take a train ride along the scenic Esopus Creek. Tennis, golf, tubing, and canoeing are just a short drive away. An expansive grassy lawn is perfect for outdoor activities such as meditation, picnics, or sits in front of the fire pit roasting marshmallows.

You will fall in love with this cozy 1930’s rustic cottage nestled on a gorgeous wooded acre in this picturesque valley, minutes from Belleayre. Situated in a quiet country setting perfectly suited for strolling or hiking. Scenic views abound, including Slide Mountain, the highest in the Catskill Range. Big Indian Baseball Park is just a short walk away. Woodstock and the Belleayre Mountain Ski Center offer the excitement of cultural events, live music, antiques, and shops. Tubing, mountain biking, fly-fishing, and downhill/cross-country skiing are also nearby.

To the rear of the yard, follow the path to the Esopus Creek that meanders adjacent to the property and offers a place to explore, tire tube or to enjoy the swim hole. The whole family can have fun or maybe just relax in a quiet spot. Plenty of local activity year round for those who want to get-up-and-go. And plenty of solitude for those who do not!

In the fall, come for our spectacular fall foliage, fall festivals and a celebration of our fresh locally grown foods. A memory your senses will never forget!

Winter Activities: The cottage is located in a lovely mountain valley on a rustic private country road. Belleayre Mountain Ski Center, the second largest ski center in The Catskills, is just 4 miles away (only 8 minutes) and offers both down hill and cross-country skiing.
