Deposit is located in Catskills Upper Delaware region on the East Branch of the Delaware River and is no more than 10 miles from the Beaverkill, Willowemoc, Horton, and Chilloway rivers. The Catskills offer a variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, camping, biking, rock and ice climbing, canoeing, fishing, and hunting.. There are also many small towns that are great for day trips and antique shopping. Oquaga Creek State Park is close to town and has a 55-acre Arctic Lake with sand beach for swimmers, and fishing for black bass, bullheads and rainbow trout. Winter visitors can also ice skate or ice fish on the frozen lake, go sledding and cross-country skiers can explore the trails.
