The Blue Moose is a private lake front camp on quiet Lake Abanakee with a grassy yard down to a sandy beach, docks, screened porch and a large deck is available for weekly rentals. Includes rowboat, canoe, and paddleboat. Fish, hike, swim, bike, whitewater raft, or just enjoy the Adirondack quiet in the town of Indian Lake, which is in the center of the Adirondacks. The house sits on over 1/2 acre of secluded privacy on a dirt road with 175` of lake front and lots of wildlife. Perfect for families! Easy for kids to catch panfish right off the dock, or try your luck at landing a 3 foot Northern Pike!
Nearby are golf courses, the "Whitewater Capital of New York", The Adirondack Museum, Gore Mountain, WW Durant, 6 million acres of the Adirondack Park, and hundreds of mountains and lakes. The Adirondack Antiques Festival is being held in Indian Lake this fall, and we are centrally located for easy day trips to Lake Placid or Lake George as well.
The Blue Moose includes everything except toothbrushes!! The house has 2 bedrooms plus a pull-out sofa, 1 bath, a full eat-in kitchen with all utensils, Gas Grill, heater (for the chilly nights), VCR/DVD and Wireless Internet! (for the occasional rainy day), firepit. Our neighbors include deer, beaver, osprey, hummingbirds, loons, mink and the occasional otter! Because of the abundant wildlife, please inquire first before bringing pets. We also observe a no smoking policy.
