Thank you for your interest in "Journey`s End" cottages, a small cottage colony located on a 14-mile-long lake in the heart of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. The resort is open from early May to late November. We are certain you will be very pleased with our clean, well-maintained accommodations and the quiet, peaceful surroundings.
Long Lake offers wonderful days of swimming, fishing, hiking and boating. You can enjoy the great outdoors with a picnic (picnic tables & barbecue grilles provided) or just relax in a lawn chair on our sandy beach. There is a courtesy canoe for guests to use, plus a 10-passenger pontoon "Flote" boat on the premises for rental. After a day on the water, you can enjoy the sunset from your private porch or in one of the Adirondack chairs on our large floating dock.
All our cottages are carpeted and quite modern. Each unit has a 6 cu. ft. countertop refrigerator and apartment-size range with oven and broiler. Each also has a microwave oven, coffee maker, all dishes, utensils and color cable TV. Weekly rentals include bed linens (but not towels).
Vista is the largest cottage, located at the top of the incline from the lake. You will love the scenic views from the dining area, as well as the deck. "Vista" can accomodate as many as six people. One bedroom has twin beds, and each of the other two have a double. The bath has a tub / shower unit.
Haven is just up the incline from the lake. Both the dining area and the attached deck offer terrific views overlooking the lake. One bedroom has twin beds, and the other, a double bed. The bath has a tub / shower unit.
Retreat is a converted boathouse near the water`s edge. You`ll be just steps away from the beach while on the deck, which spans the living and dining/kitchen area. The single bedroom contains two double beds, and the bath has a tub / shower unit.
Nest is a cozy, newer unit, situated away from the other cottages. It has french doors leading to a screened porch with unobstructed lake views. The bedroom has a double bed, and there is a hide-a-bed in the living area. The bath has a tub / shower unit.
In-season rates (July and August) at Journey`s End range from $700.00 to $900.00 per week, and pre and post season rates range from $600 to $750/week. Rates are slightly lower in the pre- and post-seasons. Ask about our "Early Bird Package" for May and June. The Fall season is an especially good time to visit the area. Although most reservations are weekly, we do accept a three-day minimum after September 1st when space is available. We encourage you to call early for the best availability.
