The centerpiece of Full Moon, a turn-of-the-century Catskill country hotel known as the Valley View House, features simple, affordable B&B style guest-rooms, a wrap-around sun porch, lobby, library and dining room / café. Surrounded by works of original art in the hotel lobby, guests relax on comfortable couches and enjoy complimentary coffees and teas. The library features a rich assortment of literature and a display devoted to environmental and ecological awareness. Of course, the heart of every home is the kitchen. On weekends, or for large mid-week groups, the chef prepares breakfast and a healthy, full-course buffet dinner with traditional and vegetarian options.
The hotel is accompanied by four other guest houses. Northern Lights Lodge, a cedar-shake building nearby, offers guest rooms with either private or hall baths. Rustic Morningstar Lodge, with a panoramic mountain view, has larger rooms, all with private baths. Birdsong Cottage and Streamside Cottage, each with two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen are perfect for families or anyone interested in setting up house for the duration of their stay.
For guests interested in being closer to Mother Nature, tent camping on the fields and meadows is an option. Restrooms with showers, changing rooms, and a covered picnic area are provided for campers.
