House Features:
Ortley Beach is a family oriented beach community. The home has a private driveway and plenty of free street parking. This home has 3 bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It is equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans in all rooms, and a washer/dryer. It is fully stocked including pots/pans, dishes, utensils, toaster oven, microwave, coffeemaker, blow dryer, Radio/CD player, and 2 color TV`s with Satellite and a DVD/VCR player.
The home has an enclosed front porch and a huge deck with a stainless steel BBQ, patio furniture front and back, umbrellas, and an outside shower. The shed is stocked with beach chairs & umbrellas, a beach cart and crabbing gear.
All you need to bring is bed sheets, pillow cases, and towels for beach and bath.
We are not too close to the Seaside Heights noise and traffic, but close enough to walk for an evening on the boardwalk or clubs and restaurants. The home is very close to a huge A&P and liquor store. Two blocks to beach or bay.

Area Attractions:

Ortley Beach has it all for a great family shore vacation. You can often see dolphins off our clean public beach, which has lifeguards, restrooms, outdoor showers, and "Bill`s Famous Hot Dogs, since 1968". Surfers delight in the waves and surf fishermen abound before and after swimming hours. Halfway down the beach sits the famous Surf Club, where you can have a drink in your bathing suit. Saturday afternoons feature great bands that cater to children`s participation including bongos, tambourines, and back-up singing. The Surf Club schedule includes something for everybody: Oldies nights, Teen nights, etc. The attached restaurant includes gourmet dining at night and the snackbar is open during beach hours.
You can enjoy your meals at home in the fully stocked kitchen or spacious deck, or enjoy a breakfast out at Cranberry Inlet on the bay, the Sunny Hunny, or at the Surf Club restaurant overlooking the ocean.
Pack a lunch and enjoy many activities like the beach, crabbing on the pier, or rent a boat to fish or crab. Walk to nearby Rossi`s and rent a bike or surrey, or head to Bayfront Park for the playground or to play tennis and basketball.
If you have children in your party, visit Barnacle Bills Arcade and Mini Golf, an Ortley Beach tradition. How about climbing an inflatable "rockwall" in the bay? Jetski rentals are also nearby.
A 10 minute car ride brings you to Island Beach State Park, home of the Governor`s summer house. The Park is a true environmental learning experience with a wildlife preserve, natural sand dune beaches, and a view of the Barnegat Light House at the far end.
Nearby Lavallette boasts quaint shopping, concerts and movies on the bay beach, and our favorite "The Music Man" - a singing ice cream shop that everyone from kids to grandparents will enjoy!
Seaside Heights immediately to our south has 2 amusement piers, a waterpark, go-cart tracks, restaurants for every budget and plenty of nightlife. Seaside features 2 free movie nights on the beach and free fireworks displays on Wed. nights.
Unfortunately, sometimes it rains, even at the beach, but nearby Toms River has Ocean County Mall, a large multiplex movie theater and bowling. Point Pleasant Beach features Jenkinson`s Aquarium. If you feel lucky, Atlantic City is about 1 hour south.
